My background
I was born in UK but grew up abroad. I have served as a union representative for many years, giving me particular insights into dealing with workplace and relationship difficulties. I have experience teaching at a sixth form college, helping me appreciate the issues facing young as well as older adults.
Recent training, education and accreditation
I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling from the Psychosynthesis Trust, accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and I am a member of that professional body and abide by its code of ethics. (MBACP 407718).
I am also working towards the higher accreditation of psychotherapeutic counsellor with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
Recent CPD includes courses on body focusing, nature therapy and dreams including working with body therapist Nick Totton, Melinda Powell from the Dream Research Institute and Caroline Georgiou. I am especially interested in learning how we can enhance our ability to tune in to each other and ourselves and the world around us.
